I don’t have all day – give me itineraries

Hey, you.

You there, at the CVB or DMO or Tourist Board.

You know all about your town, right?

Awesome, ’cause I’m new here and don’t have much time to see your coolest stuff.

A tailored itinerary list with all kinds of ideas including local, non-chain places to stay, cuisine I can’t get anywhere else, insider tips and a variety of things to do would be super-helpful.

Please give me links and maps, too. I don’t know where things are located, but YOU do.

That PDF itinerary with only a few details, a scanned-in and mostly unreadable map, no links and with “2008” at the top….plus cheesy stock photos of plastic people?

Not real helpful, thanks.

Love, Your Visitor.

    Hi Sheila,

We couldn’t agree more and we have the perfect solution for you at http://www.DiscoverOhio.com!

With our Itinerary Builder, you can browse through some great itineraries that we’ve created highlighting some of Ohio’s most iconic destinations, you can take a look at (and save) itineraries that other travelers just like yourself have created, and you can create your own Ohio travel itineraries to save and share!

Check it out and start building (and sharing) your perfect Ohio itineraries now!

Hi Roger, Thanks very much for your input; will have to check out your itinerary tool later because I’m on my phone right now.

Although your Ohio website kicked me to its mobile version (yay) when I tried the Itineraries button, it 1) Required me to register (not a fan of that,) and 2) Told me I had to register on the “desktop” version of your site.

I see both of these as barriers to anyone who is already out traveling in Ohio who wants some itinerary ideas from you when they pull out their phone.

    What are your thoughts?

    Hi Sheila,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about using our Itinerary Builder on a mobile device. That’s something we’ve been discussing currently and it’s nice to get input.

We’re happy with the desktop version of the Itinerary Builder, but like everything online, technology always offers alternatives. We’re exploring options now to make the Ohio travel experience better.
