For those who are rolling their eyes about the conferences, hear them out and give it a try.  The first one I went to was, well, awful.  But the last two have been nothing short of spectacular, and I think attending South by Southwest (SXSW) this year might have been life-changing.  

At least I understand the inside jokes between our two hosts here :)</description>
